Winters Respite Readathon 2018

I woke up the other morning and saw Michelle's e-mail about the sign up linky being posted for the Winter's Respite Readathon.  I didn't sign up for the Christmas Spirit Readathon as I thought I would be too busy with work and such, and turns out I was correct.  It has been a year for me to reflect on, and a good start to my year is to continue doing what I love to do, and that is to read.  My lovely wife and son had invested in the new Kobo E-reader for me and I absolutely love it.  No eye strain, and customizable fonts, allows me to read as long as time will allow me.  I am super excited to join Michelle's Readathon this time around as my wife is also joining for the first time.  Yaaay Diane!

I woke up this morning and created my not to ambitious TBR list for #WintersRespite 2018.  You can view it here: Winter's Respite Readathon 2018 TBR List...and here is the books I am looking forward to devouring ... starting on January 1, 2018.. 12:01AM.

TBR List

Book 1: The Mountain Between Us by Charles Martin   I am not much of a romance/love story reader, but this is a novel I've wanted to read since I saw the trailer to the movie.  Starting my reading with a little bit of romance and a lot of survival drama... I hope.http://charlesmartinbooks.com/img/the-mountain-between-us-og.jpg

Book 2 : The Last Mile by David Baldacci (Book 2 of the Memory Man Series)  I read my first Baldacci book in December 2017, and this series has me hooked.  Well written and the twists kept coming.  I think I have found one of my new favorite authors.  In the Memory Man, Baldacci introduced me to an extraordinary detective, a man who can forget nothing.  This is book two in the Amos Decker series.

Books 3 and 4 The Source of Magic / Castle Roogna by Piers Anthony  I read the first book in the Xanth  series many years ago, and then 6 more times throughout the years, because I enjoyed it so much.  I am going to read all 41 Xanth books this year and will start with the Source of Magic which is number two in the series, and will continue through Winter's Respite Readathon and beyond....

Audio Book 5 Sleeping Beauties by Stephen and Owen King   I have been wanting to read this book since it came out in September.  There will be times where I will not be able to hold my Kobo and read, and during those times I have scooped an audio copy of Sleeping Beauties from the library.

There you have it.  That is my mishmash of hodgepodge reading that I have put together for #WintersRespite Readathon.  If you would like to read along, please don't hesitate to join in.  It's free and we all share the same thing, which is the love of reading.  Just go here to sign up or click on the pic below.  Stay warm and keep reading.
