Odd Thomas by Dean Koontz

Odd Thomas (Odd Thomas, #1)Odd Thomas by Dean Koontz
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I have been wanting to read this series for a very long time now. I finally got my hands on a copy and nestled in to read this Odd book. Koontz magic grabbed me immediately and led me down a path of colorful and memorable characters. it was an exciting romp to the finish when all of a sudden I was slapped in the face. This book is a must read for anyone. It has everything. And I was thrilled when I officially joined the Odd Thomas club.

77 Shadow Street by Dean Koontz

77 Shadow Street (Pendleton, #1)77 Shadow Street by Dean Koontz
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book was a thriller, as expected (and Koontz did deliver) however, the ending, which usually has me wanting more, was somewhat anticlimactic for me. This was a fun read, and I had trouble putting it down, but once the book was closed, I found it was not his best work. Still not disappointed as Koontz is one of my favorite writers.

Cell by Stephen King

CellCell by Stephen King
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I didn't know what to expect when I picked this book up to read for my vacation. I started reading it on the hotel room at night and couldn't put it down. This has all of the classic zombie scenes but told with the narrative we all love by Steven King, which makes it that much more fun to read. The characters were well fleshed out which allows the reader to go along with these people on this amazing journey to what end? From the opening scene to the fantastic last sentence, this will be a book you wil not soon forget nor want to put down.
